Hearts and Minds toolkit
The Hearts and Minds safety program was developed by Shell Exploration & Production in 2002, based on research with leading universities since 1986, and is being successfully applied in Royal Dutch/Shell Group (Shell) companies around the world. The program uses a range of tools and techniques to help the organisation involve all staff in managing Health, Safety and Environment as an integral part of their business. Collectively, these tools and techniques are known as the Hearts and Minds Toolkit.
We often use the Hearts and Minds toolkit when addressing safety issues, because it supports the idea that the most effective way of developing a safety culture is through a collective learning and exploration proces which involves everyone, rather than through a program of prescribed behaviours and predefined processen, i.e. the instrumental or dogmatic approach.
Patrick Hudson, developer of the Hearts and Minds materials, endorses Zhimble
"Hearts and Minds is intended as a program that people in industry can apply themselves with minimal external involvement. However, experience has shown that because of the innovative approach of Hearts and Minds organizations need help implementing it from the right perspective and embedding it in their further systems."
"The people from Zhimble have been working with Hearts and Minds for a number of years. Their core perspective and attitude in supporting their clients is focussed on empowering people in industry to take more responsibility for themselves and for others. This alligns very well with the philosophy behind Hearts and Minds, and I would therefore endorse them as a good partner for any industrial organization who wants to get started with Hearts and Minds"

Patrick Lencioni
Patrick Lencioni has written a series of bestsellers about organizations and teams that are easy to read parabels containing simple, but very effective instruments to significantly improve the workings of organizations and teams. Some of his books are:
The five dysfunctions of a team, Silo's politics and turf wars, Death by meeting, The five temptations of a CEO, The obsessions of an extraordinary executive.
His work inspires us because of the great recognition of what he writes, not just by us, but also by our clients. We use these books in our projects to help our clients gain common understanding of e.g. what makes a good team. And we help them apply it in practice.
